Im Rahmen eines innovativen Plattform Projektes im Energiesektor suchen wir im Auftrag unseres Kunden nach Unterstützung als Plattform Operations Engineer (m/w/d). Die Tätigkeit erfolgt weitestgehend Remote und nach Absprache ca. 1 mal im Monat für paar Tage am Stück in Frankfurt oder Berlin. In essence, the Operations Engineer (m/w/d) is responsible for the stability, reliability, and continuous improvement of containerized cloud infrastructure and DevOps toolchain.
The DevOps Applications Team provides three products to the platform: CodeBuild (CI for automation and source management),Registry (Image and Artifact Registry).The Developer Portal serves as a self-service hub for interacting with all products and other services. The Goal is to streamline workflows on the platform by reducing overhead and automating tasks, allowing application developers to focus on business logic.
Key Responsibilities:
• Incident Management: Providing expert-level consultancy for critical incidents, root cause analysis, and advanced
troubleshooting across production and staging environments
• Carrying out SDLC-focused tasks: Maintaining and optimizing Kubernetes-based deployments, managing CI/CD
pipelines, and ensuring the seamless operation of artifact repositories, security policies, and configuration
management systems
• Stakeholder Communication: Consulting with various stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and continuous
delivery of high-quality software
In essence, the Operations Engineer is responsible for the stability, reliability, and continuous improvement of containerized
cloud infrastructure and DevOps toolchain.

• Driving observability by leveraging the toolset provided by the Product Line
• Focusing on advancing automation and being a consultant to internal stakeholders
• Incorporating security best practices into daily business
• Performing change management tasks and update of software versions
Objective: Process improvement
Tasks:
• Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks proactively
• Improving deployment processes to ensure smooth rollouts
• Identifying gaps in processes and either improving already existing ones or setting up completely new processes
Objective: Ensure availability of critical services
Tasks:
• Maintaining the integrity and performance of critical services
• Being a consultant for internal stakeholders on complex operational challenges
• Communicating with external stakeholders regarding incidents and overseeing them end-to-end
Profile Requirements
DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) with experience in the operational part of DevOps, process analysis and optimization as well as change management.
Must-have experience
• Hands-on experience and operational knowledge in deployment tools
Preferred tools: Harbor, Opentofu Controller, Kyverno-Operator, ArgoCD
• Hands-on experience in maintaining and operating Git and CI tools
Preferred tools: Gitlab, Harness
• Experience in using Planning, Documentation and Management tools
Preferred tools: Jira Service Management, Jira, Confluence
• Strong experience in Kubernetes, DevOps automation, and cloud-native ecosystems with a deep knowledge of Helm,
Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and GitOps principles
• Knowledge in Linux administration, scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, Go), and observability tools
• Proven experience in Operations, SRE, or DevOps, ideally within enterprise-scale or multi-cluster environments
Must-have language skills:
• Fluent English in speech and writing (at least C1)
Preferred experience
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g. FluxCD), backup and restore tools (e.g. Velero), artifactory tools (e.g. JFrog Artifactory)
and developer platform tools (e.g. Backstage)
• Operational and administrative knowledge about Planning, Documentation and Management tools (e.g. Jira Service
Management, Jira, Confluence
