For our costumer, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineering Architect (m/w/d) with Azure Databricks Know How - remote.

 Key Responsibilities:
- Project Execution: Drive the implementation of user stories, oversee and advise task planning, and actively contribute to the development of scalable and robust data solutions in Azure Databricks that serve current, and anticipate future business needs.
 - Architectural Design and Strategy: Evaluate, refine, and improve our medallion data architecture to ensure optimal data storage, processing, monitoring, and sharing capabilities.
- Serve our Data Consumers: Collaborate with data consumer use cases (Business Intelligence, Machine Learning, API) to design and implement data models and ETL Pipelines best suited for each use case’s requirements.
 - Quality Assurance: ensure data engineering quality through means of standardization, scalability, and maintainability, ensuring our data solutions are not only effective but also sustainable. Prepare and implement test cases & document the results.
 - Agile Leadership: Drive our culture of productivity and align with project timelines by guiding and supporting the development team through the SCRUM ceremonies.
 - Team Collaboration: Serve as a trusted partner to both technical, and product owner.

Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of development experience in data engineering or data warehousing, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked within cloud environments like Azure.
- A solid understanding of the medallion architecture and the roles each data layer may play
- Expert knowledge of Azure Databricks & Azure Data Factory
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating SCRUM/Agile practices effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to solve and discuss complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English, German is a strong plus
